Maiden's inn holiday park is truly one of echuca moama's premier holiday parks and is located on the banks of the murray river. The impressive pillars of the residence survived the inferno and are located within the park. In 1937, the residence was destroyed by fire. In 1879 the hotel was de-licensed and became a private residence. During the 1870's the inn was renamed the "royal hotel". In 1845 james maiden, an ex-british convict who became a wealthy, self-made cattle dealer, established a river crossing over the murray and built a slab hut which was known as maiden's inn. In 1846 the hut was replaced by a magnificent two story building boasting 22 rooms and licensed as the "junction inn". Maiden's inn boasts a unique history. Today maiden's inn offers a variety of holiday accommodation options from caravan and camping sites through to deluxe spa villas.
